Blue Ivy Carter, the eight-year-old daughter of Beyoncé and Jay-Z, is following in her famous parents' footsteps with a recording career of her own. However, the little one isn't becoming a singer—she's got another surprising talent up her sleeve. The adorable heir to the Carter throne is making a name for herself as a voiceover artist, having recently narrated author Matthew A. Cherry's new children's audiobook, Hair Love. Cherry announced the collaboration, available on Audible, via Twitter on Nov. 9 with a book trailer featuring the precocious tot's voice and an image of the audiobook's cover. The story is an adaptation of Cherry's short film of the same name, which won the Academy Award for Best Animated Short Film at the 2020 Oscars, leading many to expect similar praise for the audiobook—and the potential for Blue Ivy to win a Grammy for her narration in the Best Spoken Word Album for Children category. This isn't the first time Blue Ivy has wowed audiences with her talent, though. In 2019, at age 7, Blue Ivy won a Soul Train Award for the songwriting skills she lent to "Brown Skin Girl," a Beyoncé song featured on the Lion King soundtrack.

In fact, Blue Ivy was actually just a few days old when she made her musical debut—dad Jay-Z included recordings of his newborn daughter crying on his 2012 track "Glory," released just 10 days after Blue's birth.

And Blue Ivy isn't the only famous kid who's making a name for themselves as a recording artist—read on to discover which other celebrity kids have their own musical careers. And for more insight into what your favorite kid stars are up to, check out The Biggest Disney Channel Stars, Then and Now.
