They overanalyze everything and run through every possible outcome of a scenario (probably more than once) even if it's a little on the irrational side. While they may just like to be prepared, astrology could also be why these folks investigate everything. 6 Pisces
Pisces are incredibly empathetic. While this helps them understand others' emotions, it also has them over-analyzing.
They're always absorbing other people's energies—and they spend more time than they should trying to uncover the significance of those feelings.
To help deal with these emotions, they pull themselves out of reality pretty often. "Pisces are so adept at creating their own world it's challenging to live their normal life," says Tara Bennet, astrologer and spiritual coach at Mediumchat. "They're always thinking of what might be or could have been."
5 Leo
Leos, otherwise known as the regal royals of the zodiac, have a reputation for being in the spotlight. Of all the zodiac signs, they have the biggest egos and probably care most about what people think.
So, when they aren't getting the attention and admiration they crave, it's very possible that unwanted thoughts will show up.
"While they generally make decisions with confidence, they can overthink when it comes to matters affecting their public image or personal pride," says Raquel Rodriguez, astrologer and founder of Your Zodiac.

4 Capricorn
Capricorns are hard workers, sometimes to a fault, and they love nothing more than being able to provide for themselves and their families. They are goal-oriented and will go over every little detail before coming to a conclusion.
"If life is not on an even keel, they can't focus on anything else, and they will continually overthink problems and the best solutions," says Bennet.
These sea goats like things done a certain way, so they won't analyze as much if they're the ones steering the ship. But when they lose control and something goes wrong, beware that they won't come out of their head for a while.
3 Libra
"Libra's obsession with fairness and balance often makes them second guess themselves," says Bennet. As the zodiac's biggest people pleaser, they want nothing more than for everyone to be happy.
With the risk of something going wrong (in their eyes), they overthink situations more than they need to.
Bennet mentions that they'll have internal debates with themselves over seemingly insignificant topics, questioning everything from sending a text to their friend to figuring out what to eat for dinner. "Giving tiny parts of their lives too much thought makes their thoughts cluttered," she adds.

2 Gemini
Gemini is represented by the twins, so you never know which side of their personality you'll get. They like entertaining multiple perspectives, and they are fast talkers.
Gemini is an air sign, which makes them one of the best communicators, but "their knack for viewing situations from multiple angles can result in a constant mental tug-of-war, making them prone to overthinking," says Rodriguez.
"Gifted with both intellect and a curious mind, Geminis can sometimes find it more of a curse," adds Bennet. They are always thinking of the right things to say, different outcomes of a situation, and how they can get people to like them.
1 Virgo
Known for their anxious tendencies and attention to the tiniest details, it's no wonder that Virgo is the biggest over-thinker of the zodiac. Rodriguez describes them as perfectionists at heart, which means they expect everything to be up to their high standards.
"This thorough nature, while generally a strength, can sometimes cause them to overthink even the smallest of issues," she says.
These practical earth signs never like being wrong, either. So, if they have to go over something two or three times more than anyone else, they will. Virgo is always thinking about the what-ifs, causing them to overthink something that is already faultless.
