Plenty of celebrities have been confused for another star at some point in their career. But most recently, E! News pointed out the uncanny resemblance between pop star Justin Bieber and The Vampire Diaries actor Paul Wesley. "We know Paul Wesley and Justin Bieber aren't the same person, but have we ever seen them in a room together?" the account posted on Instagram on Nov. 15, and Wesley was quick to join in on the fun in the comments. To see what he had to say about the similarities, read on, and for more celebrity lookalikes, check out This Actor Who Played Young Jennifer Garner Looks Exactly Like Her Now.
E! News posted a series of photos of Bieber and Wesley through the years, including pictures of the two stars in their teens holding babies. The post caught the eye of Wesley, who commented on the photo, joking, "He's my son."
Wesley's former romantic interest on The Vampire Diaries, Nina Dobrev, decided to get in on the fun, too. She replied to Wesley's comment, adding, "Our love child" (even though Dobrev and Wesley never dated in real life). Wesley commented once more with a series of hilarious hashtags: "#proudparents #wemissyouson #callusback."
Of course, Bieber and Wesley are just scratching the surface of celebrity lookalikes. Read on to see 10 other pairs who get mixed up, and for other recent celebrity news, check out These Fresh Prince of Bel-Air Stars Originally Said No to the Show.

There are obvious similarities between these stars. However, Zooey Deschanel has said in the past that she's not a huge fan of the comparisons to Katy Perry. "It's a little bit annoying, to be totally blunt. I used to get, 'I heard you were out at such-and-such club drinking whiskey!' [when] I was at home watching TV. I think we lead very different lives," she said in 2009.
3 Jessica Chastain and Bryce Dallas Howard
These two have joked about their likeness on Twitter, but in all seriousness, it's common to mistake them—even Bryce Dallas Howard's father has gotten the two mixed up! During a 2019 interview with the Associated Press, Jessica Chastain said that Howard's father—legendary director Ron Howard—passed her in an Apple store once and thought she was his daughter. "He turned to someone [and] he goes, 'I think I just saw Bryce,'" she said. And for more Hollywood relatives, here are 25 Celebrities You Didn't Know Had Famous Parents.
